Hu Named VP of Nanojoining & Microjoining Association

Associate Professor Anming Hu has been named vice president of the Nanojoining & Microjoining Association (NMJ), a professional non-profit organization based in Switzerland that focuses on the joining and welding science and technology on the micro and nano scale. In his new role, Hu will be responsible for association development, outreach, advising, and organizing regular scientific events. Hu has been involved with the association for over 15 years and was instrumental in UT being one of its founding members along with the University of Waterloo, Canada, Osaka University, Japan, the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology, Switzerland, and Tsinghua University, China.
