Developing novel functional surfaces to address some of the key challenges in the areas of membrane separation, droplet manipulation, icephobicity, hemocompatibility and microfluidics. Particular areas of interest include liquid-repellent surfaces, omniphobic membranes, patterned surfaces, stimuli-responsive surfaces, and anti/de-icing coatings.
