Startup company Asters has been accepted into the fourth cohort of the Transform accelerator for data science and AI startups by the University of Chicago’s Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Data Science Institute.  

A team of researchers from UT has helped develop Active Shooter Tracking and Evacuation Routing for Survival (ASTERS), a system that uses AI and social engineering to try and keep schools safe during an on-campus shooting.
