The MABE department has many opportunities for undergraduates to participate in laboratory research. Many of our undergraduates that participate in some form of undergraduate laboratory work go on to graduate school. Opportunities for undergraduate work are developed directly between the student and the faculty and can be in two general formats:
- As an independent study course, in which you receive credit hours toward your degree, or
- As a paid assistant working for hourly wages
Normally, departmental students work ten hours or less a week during the regular semesters. Periodically, opportunities to work will be posted on the department’s LinkedIn group site, and at the Undergraduate Advising Center in Room 316A Dougherty. Please contact faculty members directly to discuss additional opportunities that may be available.
