Vaidya Receives SPE Fellow Award

photo of Uday Vaidya in front of robotUT Governor’s Chair in Advanced Composites Manufacturing and Professor Uday Vaidya is one of two plastic professionals to receive a Society for Plastics Engineers (SPE) 2023 Fellow of Society Award. The prestigious award honors Vaidya for his outstanding contributions in the field of plastics engineering, science/technology, or in the management of such activities. Only 359 SPE members have received this award since it was introduced in 1984.

Vaidya serves as the Chief Technology Officer for IACMI-The Composites Institute and has over three decades of experience in engineered plastics and composites. He serves as the education chair for SPE Composites Division and has advanced student engagement in SPE since 2004.

He will officially receive his award during the society’s 81st Annual Technical Conference (ANTEC 2023) in Denver, Colorado, in March.
