Pierce Wins First Place at NSBE Fall Regional Conference

photo of Jessica PierceJessica Pierce won first place in the Technical Research Exhibition (TRE) at the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Fall Regional Conference held earlier this month in Atlanta. Pierce won the award for her poster presentation, “DeepLabCut and MATLAB: An Exploration into Data Processing for Motion Capture in Rabbits.” She also won the bid to compete in the TRE at the 49th Annual NSBE Convention next March in Kansas City, Missouri.

Pierce is president of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, chapter of NSBE and an undergraduate research assistant in the Upper Limb Assist Lab under the direction of MABE Assistant Professor Dustin Crouch.
